Seen your bike duplicate in the wild?
Around these parts not many ride C&V.. even less ride similar bikes to mine, this morning on my way to class I stopped by the store for some coffee and witnessed two older gents ride by me, the first on a cannondale.. the second I had to double take as a 91 Raleigh Team USA technium went zipping by me.. as far as I knew I was the only one even in the area with one of those not collecting dust! Very cool, made sure to shout out they had great bikes before I went in for my coffee.
So how many of you have seen people riding the same frameset as you? Or perhaps even identical bikes?

In my neck of the woods, I'm impressed just to see vintage steel period. Doubly so if it appears to be well loved and/or not hacked into a fixie.
Allegedly there is another Fuji Team around here, close in age to mine. Buddy of one of the guys at a LBS commented about his friend having one. The Fuji Pro, I'm not holding my breath. I think I can count the number of the same year/model that I've seen online on one hand.

I doubt I will see sister-bikes of mine. But I have seen an increasing number of middle range C&V bikes in use of late.

I bought my '85 Sekai Bigfoot last October. In maybe December or so I saw another one on CL, only looked to be in better shape, had fenders, etc. looked to be IDENTICAL! Even down to the pedals! It had been icy off & on the the guy lived somewhat rural & I couldn't get out there. It sold before I could go see it. Thought of buying it to have either as a donor bike.

On a recent charity ride while riding a Vitus 979 I saw two others. One silver and one orange. Both set up with modern running gear.

not yet, modern or C&V, in person. Only some duplicates here on BF. I'm either copying someone here or looking for something unique. I have a knack for picking up the same bikes as cudak8888.
Once in a while an Ironman for sale, but those are in captivity. Nothing rolling or parked.

Here in Holland I do sometimes see other Gazelle Champion Mondials and Duell bikes.

None in person, but I have seen clones of both Capos, as well as the Schwinn, on eBay.
The red Peugeot UO-8 has tons of clones, none kitted the same non-OEM way as mine, but most of them are white, blue, or green, with an occasional yellow, orange, or champagne. That last one is one of the best colors Peugeot ever came up with.
Most of my Bianchi's near-clones are Celeste, rather than Charcoal, in color.

I see tons of vintage bikes all the time, some nice, most just basic and many converted to single speed or fixed. I have never once seen the same bike as one of mine... Although recently I ran into a guy riding a bike he bought from me (79 Raleigh Competition, set up as a club bike with a 5 speed IGH). He said he loved it and rode it everywhere, which was good to hear, because I kinda regret selling that one!

I have yet to come across any duplicates of my bikes either online or in the wild. While discussing my mystery Bottecchia with a fellow C&Ver a year or two ago, he claimed to have seen the same one in Montreal, but I suppose it shall remain a mystery.

Saw a women's version of my 3 speed Free Spirit at a garage sale, same color and everything. Mine's on Clist for $120, nicely fixed up with a basket, new tires, and Weinmann brakes. Hers was a rotting horror that had been quickly hosed off for $150. I admire the optimism of the meth user.

I do not recall seeing any- I think I may have seen an 84/85 Trek 720 before I got mine.

Bumpity bump bump, just did a beer run on the 92 GT Tequesta and ran into a guy with the same bike, his was all stock though. We chatted for a bit and as it turns out he knew the original owner of my bike who happens to be who I bought it from.

Seen your bike duplicate in the wild?
I have some pretty rare, if not unique, stuff. Seeing the stuff I have in the wild just doesn't happen, especially since I have the only two Norman Rapides known to exist. 
Also, some of the reason I don't see dupes is due to the age of the bikes I ride, along with the fact I like stuff that's far outside the mainstream.
