Brooks B66 and Seat Post Size

If I buy a Brooks B66 for our two 1974 Schwinn Suburbans, will they fit the seat post or do I need a special adapter?

The B66 is a double rail saddle, so you will need a seat sandwich. The B67 is the same saddle with single rails, so no adapter is needed.

The Breeze seat sandwich costs $16.

For a '74 Suburban? I thought seat sandwiches were needed when one mounted an old style saddle to a new "microadjusting" seat post.

You're right. The Suburban will have a plain to post. The saddle requires a 2 rail clamp, but I think it comes with it. My wife's B18 came with one, but I had to buy a seat sandwich to mount the saddle on a micro adjusting post.

The Suburban will have one of the weird Schwinn seatposts with the tiny saddle clamp area. If you already have a double rail saddle on there, you can just re-use your existing clamp. If you don't, your easiest & cheapest solution would probably be to buy a new seatpost with a standard 7/8" saddle clamp area.

The turned aluminum Kalloy posts look nice. I have them on a couple of bikes.
