mount rear dia compe side pull.

i have an old bianchi with noname side pull brakes. i have already changed the front to a dia compe side pull. i had to drill out the hole on the rear side of the fork to fit the recessed socket head nut. now i am looking at the rear, once more the mount hole is to small for the recessed socket head nut. there is no clearance to use a drill on the side of the mount for the nut and the brake axle is to short to use a hex nut. any ideas on how to mount the rear brake?

Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

Easiest fix is to use another front caliper on the back, but use a regular nut instead of the recessed Allen nut.
