I just did a quick search and found that beet juice helps with iron absorption and is high in iron. Interesting as I have a daughter who is an endurance athlete and has issues with low ferritin.
We'll have to talk to her doctor about it.

I got both. During the study, none of the personnel knew which was which. When the study was over they confirmed that my suspicions were correct. The sensation I experienced with the juice was an increase in blood flow to my upper body as if I had done a mild workout with dumbbells. I had to complete walking tests and tests on a recumbent bicycle while they measured my VO2 intake. Sorry, I can't share any more information about the study at this time.

Several years ago I was doing some juicing. Tried different stuff that was supposed to be good for you. Ended up liking carrot juice with a bit of celery. When prepping some raw beets, it looked like an animal was being slaughtered in the sink! Didn't care for the taste either.

Back in the 1960s, if a boy didn't like the taste of a vegetable, people around here would say, "eat it, it'll put hair on your chest."

Where's NELA, northeast Louisiana?

Every few years it seems California's ephedrin laws lapse or something like that and we end up with weak amphetamines being sold in the stores basically.. one of those periods was during my first run through of college, I suspect caffeine/ephedrin pills are the true C&V upper.. as far as I know amphetamines weren't truly produced/refined until WW2 and more specifically for a certain genocidal dictator...

I know a Vietnam vet who says they were injected with liquid speed before going on search and destroy missions.

Was doing that 25 years ago when our youngest was born. He ate and drank so many carrots and yellow squash he turned yellow! We thought it was Jaundice and took him to the doctor.....Doc. figured it out and we all had a bit of a chuckle. I wonder is the Beet juice in large quantities would turn you red?

or,
- Exercise Every Day - When you work harder physically, the heart has to pump harder to supply oxygen to the body. The additional pressure against the arterial walls – from more blood passing through, causes more nitric oxide to be released.
- Eat more L-Arginine and L-Citrulline Amino Acids - Nuts and fruits are the best vegetarian sources of these amino acids, but they also exist in meat and dairy. However, the antioxidants in fruits and nuts also protect the nitric oxide that is created by eating these foods. Citrulline is recycled into L-arginine, which then produces more nitric oxide.
