The short answer is yes. I don't ride one now, At some point in my future, if I have trouble swinging a leg over the seat of a bike, I will have a choice. Ride a step through frame or don't ride any more. I will ride a step through frame. I believe Grant Peterson said something similar. I am not a Grant follower, but on this point I agree.
Also, having used bike share bikes and riding my wife's Raleigh aluminum frame Venture step thru, these frames are plenty sturdy enough for men. I'll even admit that when I test ride the Raleigh, I like it.

I haven't the slightest bit of patience for the endless Grant Peterson malarkey out there, but I the Blouson is fantastic. You lucky fellow.
I might have rebuilt it.

I have been toying with the idea of getting a step through frame for toddler carrying duties. Currently it is on a 1990-ish Diamond Back MTB with almost horizontal seat tube. My partner and I can both get on it but it's not dignified, particularly as I have very short legs for my height, proportionally. I don't think it being a women's bike would stop me any more than my partner (who is a woman) doesn't want to get on what is essentially a teenage boy's bike.
Forgetting that the kid seat is there altogether and kicking the poor guy in the head as I go to swing my leg over is a separate matter.
