Fall Colors

This subject has probably been done before but since I am sure some of you need another excuse to display your bike(s) it would still be nice to see some of them among all of the vivid colors at this time of the year. I hope to get one or two myself tomorrow.

Here's one from this year, outside of Albany, NY:

And from last year a little farther west, in the Catskills (it was a week beyond the peak foliage, but still pretty!):

And from that same ride:

Went out on the Northern Rail Trail yesterday with my wife and youngest daughter, who thought it was hilarious when I laid the bike down to take a pic of the "113 to Boston" mile marker.

Nice! I've ridden that several times now and never noticed! Will have to look for it next time. Is this at Potter's Place?

This was further up in Danbury. A local FNRT volunteer has been restoring markers bit by bit. Give me a shout next time you're up this way. I'm 15 min from the Danbury trailhead and would love to meet up. We have another 6 weeks until it's time to switch over to XC skis on the trail.

Just a short ride today into Vancouver, spent more time taking pictures of the trees but here are a few including a couple of streets I photographed until I get out again.

Aside from orange being the best possible bicycle color, there is something about this orange/blue Holdsworth color scheme that always gets me...

Bikes: 1966 Paramount | 1971 Raleigh International | ca. 1970 Bernard Carre | 1989 Waterford Paramount | 2012 Boulder Brevet | 2019 Specialized Diverge

...and this is how the ride ends on a lovely Autumn day: cleaning up the bike after a long ride, while meat sizzles on the grill and a bottle of dark beer remains chilled in the Fall air.
