Vendor feedback?
Hi folks,
Has anyone had any recent dealings with Hilary Stone in the UK? His web site is current, but he got some bad press regarding response and customer service a few years ago. This bothers me if he hasn't improved. I haven't found any current comments on him.
He has a lot of interesting 50s, 60s & 70s English framesets that I could use as a base for building a retro path racer. Later this year, I'm going to be in Europe for a month and will be flying in and out of London.
I would like to buy from him and will give him plenty of lead time, but will need the frameset shipped to my departure hotel in a defined time frame. His advertised shipping rates within the UK are reasonable, but shipping it back to the US negates the value.
Your comments and experiences will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
Van Pennington
