I don't know about all that...I have some nice bikes, but many of us do. There are members with bikes that far outstrip my own.
The Pinarello is a pretty cool velo - I haven't seen many Pinarellos from this era and I tend to think that all galmozzis are interesting. In particular I like the paint on this one.

Wow, either somebody took very, very good care of that bike or they hardly rode it. What a fantastic find!
Super score - enjoy

Yeah? Well, I have to complete one project for rootboy and then I'm free. Too cold outside right now, but soon. If I can lock in a house (looked at 32 so far in the last month), maybe I can work from the semi-comfort of my own garage

The lug work is a lot more impressive and thinned out than it looks in my lousy photos. It's a really slick machine...in love with this one.

I really would love a 1960s frame like this to run as a fixed gear. I am actually considering doing that with Corky. The fender eyelets, no braze-ons, good tire clearance... they're pretty much perfect. I know this one is pretty special but it wouldn't hurt it... right RIGHT? am I loosing it?

Don't want to hijack, but I have done Japanese, French and Swiss conversions. My track bike is Italian-Canadian. Corky is American so might as well... it's just missing the fender eyelets. but has the clearance for 28s and fenders.

"Please excuse my non-dusting of the man cave that's so prevalent in the photos."
Hey! I see a good deal of open floor space in those photos. For many of us the floor would be completely out of view due to the enthusiasm with which we pursue our pastime...
She's looking fine; eagerly awaiting the build peechas.

I don't think 60s Italians are that dissimilar from later Japanese sports tourers. My 60s Cinelli SC reminds me a lot of my old Miyata 914...it's a little more responsive, a bit flexier...but it's not that different in phillosophy. Give it a try...I think you'd end up liking it. If memory serves, you're Canadian...I'm not sure which of the imports are more prevalent in your area (if any), but a disproportionate number of 60s italians in the US are frejus or Legano. I'd target one...they're usually not TOO crazy priced.

I'd love to know more about how many bikes Pinarello was selling, who made what percentages and whether the outside built bikes were supplemental to their own.
