Bikes: One new one, a couple old ones, and a mountain bike.

Would you mind helping with vintage pedal ID?

Hey all, some moron put two R pedals on my Le Tour II.
One was obviously the actual right pedal, while one is another right that was forced across the threads in the left side crank and it doesn't quite match. I want to sell these if I can to fund period correct replacements, but would like to be able to advertise it accurately so that maybe someone in a similar predicament can find their pedal-mate!

Thank you in advance!

The RIGHT pedal is the unidentified one btw.

Value is next to nothing with the rust, unfortunately.

mystery right pedal may be a Koyukuto ("KKT") or Taiwan copy thereof.

as far as "...sell these..." goes both are valuless.

Probably true.

Anyone know a source for originals? The only two I found on eBay are Le Tour "style" not original and then some they're just as rusty.

I like MKS pedals. They make a quill pedal and the sylvan, a touring pedal that looks more like yours. Both look the vintage part.

The original pedal (bottom and left) is a KKT RT-E, that is what came on the bike new. There are a couple of sets on eBay right now (there usually is, they are not rare):

Vintage KKT RT 9 16" Rat Trap BMX Road Bike Cruiser Bicycle Pedals | eBay
1974 Japan Schwinn Le Tour KKT 9 16 Rat Trap Reflector Pedals Cro MO | eBay

Unfortunately I don't know what the other one is, but I would agree with the others that it is worthless.

Thanks for providing the actual model specifics. Those are new to me. I did see RT-E, but I didn't know if that was something to do with being a right side pedal.

If you don't want to use them anymore, just put a long stick on them and sell them as retro, steam punk, back scratchers. They will will have the bonus special self angle adjusting feature to follow the contours of one's back......if the bearing are any good......Just tell the buyers to get a tetanus shot before using them.....

The unknown pedal resembles pedals that came on Ralieghs from the same time period as your Le Tour. I agree with the others: worthless.

Weld the two pedals together and you can sell them as junk art. I'll give you a dollar.

Either those pedals are still being made, or there are a lot of NOS ones available.
Brand New Rattrap Bicycle Pedals Silver 9 16 034 Classic Steel Schwinn Style | eBay

A mismatched rusty pair?
Maybe $1 each side.
Probably not enough to pay for shipping.

they kind of look like some Lyotards, which made very cheap models as well as some nice ones (very rare).....

Lyotard also happens to be a postmodern philosopher I very much enjoy reading

The NOS ones I'm finding on eBay aren't exact matches, but then again I guess if I decide to sell it, the pedals won't hurt the value any more than the couple of scratches I had to cover up...

Hmm, I didn't consider that. I looked awhile back for one in this area and it had closed. I'll look again!

They cleaned up OK. We'll see if anyone needs 'em.

I'd agree, upgrade.

Now, what are you going to do about the L crank arm that the moron forced a right thread pedal into?

Somehow it wasn't badly damaged. They hadn't really gone that far in with the pedal. I chased it from the other side, and then tried my plastic test ride pedal set careful and it worked just fine.

umm awesome Genesis profile pic btw. I'm hooked on Foxtrot, SEBTP, TLLDOB, and Abacab for about a year straught.
