I was an infantryman for a quarter of a century. I've spent a few years worth of my life in the outdoors. For the last 15 or so years of my career including 5 deployments a one cup size Bialetti espresso maker (invented in 1933) was in my ruck. It traveled all over the world with me. If I were to take it with me on a ride I would just bring a can of Sterno, a bag of espresso and my old stainless cup. No need for a grinder, camp stove and all that mess. Always pack light. But I quit caffeine five years ago, one of the best things I've ever done.
