My pet peeve is inconsistencies in apps. I tested MapMyRide and RideWithGps. Both made at the same time. What my test results showed: Both apps varied by few points (about 8) in speed and power. All times were the same. RideWithGPS showed more personal records. Both GPX documents were imported into STRAVA.

At first glance, I would just assume auto-pause is on for Strava, and not for MMR. For the difference in distance, Strava adjusts distance/elevation by comparing ride data to map data, and I reckon MMR does not.

Lastly, Segal's Law. "A man with one watch knows what time it is. A man with two watches is never sure."
