On the ride, I started calling him "Mr. Wigglesworth" in my head. Thought it was most appropriate. He really made me nervous when he was on my wheel.

Tour of Palm Springs - Who's In?
That guy would scare me if he was near
You should have seen my teammate Lisa's husband. He rode a single speed mountain bike. Made it easier to go at a pace suited to his wife. He has muscles on muscles in his legs

Well, that was the funny part, when we first came up on him he was using the aero bars and I thought that he'd straighten out when he went back to the regular bars. Nope!
The bars are really funky too, there's some sort of droop from the stem to the bends, but he's got a big up angle on the stem to get the bars to where he wants them... Very strange.
The funniest part (you can see it in the last part of teh video) is when he got down in his bars and cranked around the guy in the white and red jersey. It was a bit of a down hill and we were all soft pedaling or coasting to keep from running over the guy, but he was pedaling furiously.
Oh well, you see just a little bit of everything at those rides. I saw more than one hand cyclist doing the century route! My chapeau is off to those folks.

Yes well... Vic could have taken off and stayed away but PJ and I had our bicycle bungees hooked up to his seat post, so he was stuck with us.
We'd drop the guy, then he'd catch up at the next light, go all out to get in front when the light turned green, we'd pass him... lather, rinse, repeat.

I'll try to get some video from my Fly6. I haven't had a chance to look yet

I did a ride tonight that lasted about an hour and my Garmin went from fully charged to 80% battery. Looks like I need to some illicit battery replacing (It's a $10 part on amazon).

It's not as impressive in slow motion for some reason.
And your pony tail is dangling down in front of the lens.

Hey, don't knock Mr. Wobbles, he's covering a lot of extra ground - probably rode 120 miles that day on the same course!

I do like that the organizers are using the software that allows them to tag photos, so we don't have to go looking through all of the images, from 8 different photographers, of all 10,000 riders.

It is pretty cool. I just don't like the prices they're charging ... I might get one or two of myself if it were cheaper.

The prices aren't out of line but most of them are pretty bland... except for the crooked, underexposed photos in front of the windmills.
How many did they find of you guys? I have 7 in my inbox.
