Still in. I even booked a hotel room that I won't be able to use, I guess I better figure out which one and cancel it.

I am just getting back into riding, after being off the bike for almost a year. But am really thinking of registering for the 50 mile option of this ride.

I cannot bring myself to pay someone else 75¢ a mile to "let" me ride a century. My last century was done unsupported on $8 worth of snacks.

I'm so cheap.

I know the organizers and the executive director is a friend of mine. Your entry fee supports various charities in the Coachella Valley.

Not yet. I like living dangerously. Have you?

At this point, the weather is looking like a low of 51 and a high of 74. Perfect for a ride.

Pffft. It's never windy in Palm Springs. Plus, I love the art structures that they have for the cyclists to look at and appreciate while riding!

Nice... we should all meet at the start at 6am so we can all drop PhotoJoe like a hot rock. I have a feeling I'll be loitering off the back this year on account of all the non-riding I've been doing.

@TrojanHorse, you could have joined me today and gotten some miles in. We had a great ride.

And there was pizza and beer at the finish

Yeah, i'm training this month. No pizza, no beer, just freaking healthy food. No coffee either, it's getting boring.

I'm down for early start as earlier I start the less chance I finish after dark.

@Beachgrad05, the route this year is much easier than in the past (even those were easy). I've ridden all these roads and if you start at 6:30 there in NO way you're finishing in the dark!
