Thanks for posting this, I thought it was next weekend. I'm not sure how to watch it live, as I usually just watch the 1/2 hr highlight video on YouTube later in the day (watching 6hrs of bike riding would be pretty boring!). Weather in northern France/Paris is supposed to be sunny all day with rain moving in in the evening, so they should get it in without the sloppy mud. High temp for the day projected to be about 47F/7C, great for a long ride though the French countryside

Maybe a guy who takes his bike to the shop to get the chain lubed should shaddap about bike mechanics.

I rode an hour in pretty good rain on Friday, and it was just fantastic. Roads completely devoid of riders (aside from the poor bastards doing the Time Trial course for the Redlands Bicycle Classic.) Get out there!

I rode 37 miles today. We had a light sprinkling of drizzle about an hour after i got home, so my timing was great. Had a smaller than normal but good group on the club ride. And my rear derailleur shifts great with the new Jagwire cable and housing. So it was a good day!
I think the IE is getting much more of this "storm" than we are here in the OC. We've probably had about 0.04" of rain cumulative since Thursday. Good for you riding in the rain, I've done it and it's not too bad, especially in these conditions where it is not really cold out. But the bike cleaning afterwards is a PITA.

was going for a minimum of 25 miles today, but ended up knocking my rear wheel out of true and breaking a spoke.... and I had just had a spoke replaced this morning.... time to re-lace that wheel. Now to take my glucose levels and eat some carbs (meatloaf sandwich maybe?), and drink some fresh porter

I haven't been on my bike in over a week, snow showers, cold rain, and freezing temperatures just isn't fun to ride in, hard to believe this is April... In other news I have exactly two weeks to prepare for a 50 mile charity ride. As much as I'm looking forward to the ride, I feel my body's not ready for 50 miles yet

Mike,
Jus remember 10 miles at a time... you can do 10 miles in your sleep
Oh and after yesterday's ride and taking the wheel to the bike shop to be re-laced I had a quart of Porter with dinner... I should do that more often as my legs felt the best they have this morning than they have in forever, and my fasting glucose level was only 128

I've never ridden Big T. I've done the Santa Clarita side of Little T. It's a pretty good climb up to Camp 9 Fire Camp.

I finally went for a ride last night, so I feel like I can post in threads other than "carbo loading" again.

Two posts in one day? You think that's deserving of another ride? Pffft. Well, I guess we can go with the "Baby Steps" approach. Two is enough for now. Try harder next time. I believe in you.

I have the entry fee, donations, and now lodging at the casino paid for. Now to pay for meals for a family of four and fuel to get there

Here's a little ride I did tonight in memory of @IBOHUNT, who apparently is too cool to hang out with us anymore here on the carbo load. And @vesteroid too, who is too busy doing curls to ride his bike.

It was downright lumpy, I tell you. I was running low on time so I skipped the repeat of the first hill but that second hill was naaaaaaaasty. It had to be about 20%, but I couldn't see my garmin, it was dark and I wasn't moving fast enough to stop concentrating on pedaling anyway.
