11/2: 29.07 - 6.83 commuting, 22.24 workout after work.
11/4: 45.31 (PB distance)
11/7: 12.15
11/8: 2.2 commuting
11/9: 12
11/10: 25.48
11/11: 13
11/13: put two new Continental GPs on the Allez. Broke two tire levers, and committed my first act of pinch flatting a tube.
11/14: 12.7 - 2.17 commuting to and fro the office, 10.53 easy ride after I got home and changed. Stopped at the bike shop to have them check it out for any needed maintenance before El Tour, needs derailleurs adjusted and a new chain so left it overnight. Picked up a couple of spare tubes and some new (hopefully better) tire levers.
11/15: Picked up the bike. Had a migraine, didn’t go ride. Bike shop gave me a veteran’s discount on the parts and work.
11/16: 12 miles in the dark this morning - making sure the bike is working properly. Everything is fine. Absolutely last ride before warming up on Saturday. Pick up the race packet tomorrow, staying in Tucson at a hotel.
11/18: El Tour de Tucson. Officially, this race is 63 miles/100km, but I’ve done all of my mileage tracking off my Fitbit, and it says 62.85, so I’m counting it as such. 3:43:10.9, #569. There were almost 10k people in the various events - very big day.

Came in right at my predicted time of about 3:45 with one or two short breaks. I told myself if I needed more time or more breaks, coming in at 4 or more hours was still okay, but that isn’t what happened: I took one break, had to wait in line for the portajon, filled my water bottles, and didn’t stop again till after the sprint through the gate. Neutral start in the big crowd made the first mile take almost 11 minutes, so about the same as if the start was faster and I’d take another break. Glad I did it, learned a lot, made some friends.

11/20: 21.18 miles, 1:18:44.

11/22: 12.27.

Whomever has been making Fitbit app updates for the last several months and rolling them out untested, no instructions for the U/I changes, and with no beta feedback and full of buggy errors and without asking if the users actually want to update their app … please stop. Please roll it back to pre-September 2023 and leave it alone.

11/22: younger kid came to town for T-day. Older kid lives with us, so all were together.
11/23: Tennis.
11/24: Black Friday deal - got a new Garmin fitness tracker.
11/25: 22 miles - including a nice canyon climb. Garmin Connect app is nice! Much more data, in a useable format. And the new fitness tracker is easy to use, and is a better watch than the Fitbit ever dreamed of being.

MTD: 282.2

Not going to make my goal. Been sick for the last week, and I think I still have a light case of bronchitis. Decided to try a light ride tonight and see if I could do it without a coughing fit. Not bad.

11/20 - 19.0 miles
11/23 - 8.0 miles
11/24 - 22.0 miles
11/25 - 10.4 miles
11/28 - 12.1 miles

MTD: 247.2 miles
GOAL: 101 miles

Motivation is low. I'm really not enjoying rides cooler than 50 degrees which is presenting a problem. Hopefully I'll get back on track a little better next month.

Figured I’d ask this in an old thread instead of the current one, but what bikes are you Clyde’s using to rack up 20plus miles on a single ride? I’m just getting back in and on my upright hybrid after about 10 miles, I’m ready to go home. So I’m curious as to what you guys use to rack up so many miles. Or is it just the endurance that makes it? I mean I’m doing better than ever, nowhere as fast as the stats I see here or the distance.

What make and models are these? I see one is a Canyon ( I weight too much for their bikes I believe and not all of their bikes handle my 6’6” hight too.)

handsome xoxo and endurace cf8...at 6'6" you will be limited no doubt. canyon makes an aluminum version that would be big enough in 2xl but recommended max weight is 265lbs https://www.canyon.com/en-us/road-bi...nfarbe=BK%2FBK
