As a fellow Clyde, may I suggest bib shorts? When you go to the larger sized shorts, they tend to run a little long...like they were made for someone a little taller than us ( I am also 6'). Shorts in our size tend to have a crotch that is way too low. The bibs tend to fix the problem and keep you from having a crotch halfway down your thigh. OK, maybe they're not that low, but you get the idea,

Agreed, not to mention that bibs interfere with breathing less....no elastic waistband!
