It's probably that I'm wrong, but I thought adipose tissue/fat cells were mostly water, aka, storage tanks, that shrank or swelled as reserves were put into them/taken out. If that's the case, how is it that lean tissue (muscle) is more water than fat tissue? Of course, if that's not the case, please quietly disregard this posting.

(Serious question...no disrespect intended.)

((It's a shame that we have to put disclaimers on our postings because of all the sarcasm on the boards.))

They actually have about an equal amount of water, either muscle or adipose tissue. Muscle tissue is denser due to the fibrils responsible for muscular contraction. Adipose is for storage though, you are correct there.

Any sarcasm here, I suspect, would be stomped on pretty hard by the fellow Clydes, though!

Muscle's denser for a number of reasons; ability to store fluid, more vascular tissue, and as you mentioned the fibrils. Fat tissue tends to hold less water and has practically no vascular tissues.

I do get that impression. Clydes tend to be more encouraging with their posts. Other boards, Road, for example, comes immediately to mind--which is a shame because I am a roadie--do have a lot of sarcasm and "attack-style" posts.

Of course, I can be just as sarcastic--ask my wife--but I am trying to direct it at inanimate objects or situations, not people. Oh well. C'est la vie.

Sun- Sat, or whatever seven day period as long as they are consistent and to me on time to make the posting on Monday. I'm easy to get along with.

Okely Dokely! It's that time again! Time for the Spinner miles to be reported! Get them to me, (51), I have yours! By the way, all, (51) kinda banged himself up this week, so while we post the miles, lets wish him a good and quick heal up. He crashed and kinda banged himself up a bit, but is OK, not hospitalized or anything broken, just some good bruises.

(51), remember, "Injuries heal, chicks dig scars, but glory lasts forever!"

It took 4 shots of dolotid and one of something that sounds like zithropam? I dont know I was pretty outofit bythen. Finally the pain stopped and today I jst feel hungover and like I was kicked in the gut.
