So, back to the style:

B17, Flyer (Sprung B17), or B66 / 67 ??

Any comments?
From what I've read in regards to pre-aging a brooks saddle you can use glove oil on it. Correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not a brooks owner nor will I ever. I understand the obsession just won't break down and buy one.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Glove oil can soften it too much, causing the leather to rip at the rivets. Same with too much Neatsfoot oil. You get the maximum comfort leaving it hard, weather protect and wear padded shorts with leather. Make sure you aren't sliding the butt too far back on the saddle because that steel frame will NEVER conform to your tailbone. You should more or less take a central position on the saddle to get the "hammock effect", and get proper formation to the behind. It should be relatively comfortable right out of the box.

The leather is more comfortable because it wicks, and breathes. This is superior to synthetic materials and with too much saddle padding or gel, you get too much conforming and wind up with pressure and irritation in places not meant to support your weight.

I just got a pre-aged Brooks Champion Flyer. Best I ever had. Makes riding a pleasure.
