You know what would be cool? If we had a database of brands on how their sizing ran.
Of course, not all brands are consistent. But there are trends. Pearl Izumi does have some 2X stuff I
can use. So does Beans. I think the Beans cycling jersey runs a bit large. If you don't have a big gut you can get away with an XL> I have never seen a soft shell that was larger than a XL even if the label said 2X.
The Euro brands run a few sizes small. Giordana runs a couple sizes small. Ibex runs a size small. Sugoi shirts run a size or two small, but I have a 2x
cycling pant by them which fits and is fantastic. Velowear runs small. I have a couple of their 2X jerseys I liked too much to
send back. Maybe someday I can wear them. Some of the Smartwool 2X base layers work, but others are a bit small and short.
I get almost all my stuff from sierra and find it true to size.....

Yes. This is a heavier spandex. i am so used to the regular spandex fitting skin tight that I am not sure how it should fit. It feels good to have something that actually fits.

We call it my super suit. All I need is a cape. (but Edna says "No Cape")

Shame this thread went by the wayside... I have three 3XL aerotech bibs, all less than six months old. Maybe 800 miles on them. Well washed and taken care of. Willing to trade or sell.

hmmm, not sure about used cycling gear, however, how much you want for them and are you willing to sell just one pair?

I hear you on used cycling gear, but they are doing great things with high-efficiency detergent and powerful washing machines these days! $30 a pair.

I am not selling this stuff - I want to give it away... I have closets full of cycling jerseys. The women's stuff is 1X - 2X and the men's mostly XL - XXL. If anyone is seriously interested, let me know. I will go through and clean out what I have and try and post some of the jerseys. I also have some Nema mountain bike shorts - brand new never worn. XL but are fairly small (I could never fit my fat arse in them). I really need to clean out my closet. I keep buying new stuff but not getting rid of the old!

Contact Kamala. His 3x stuff should fit you. Also, you'll probably be smaller by the time you 'need' bib shorts.

I'd be interested in any XXL jerseys you want to get rid of, Ive just been wearing old shirts or compression shirts while riding and concentrating on getting seat time.

Let me know and we can work something out.

Can anyone recommend a maker of men's baggy bike shorts in a waist size 44? I have a pair of Novara XXLs that pretty much fit, but the poor button design means it pops open when I'm in a riding posture. I use bib shorts now (and love em) but I'd like to ride sporting a little less spandex. TIA.

I bought a pair of cannondale baggy shorts that have been great, you can cut out the inner liner with the chamois and use the baggy shorts with other other lycra shorts.

these: https://www.cannondale.com/a_a/clothi...ml#mens_shorts

Seems Sierra has some on sale as well.
