Warm cycling tights - custom made

I have been looking for a while for some cycling tights that would keep my knees and other sensitive parts reliably warm in the winter.
Because of sizing problems I ended up ordering custom made pants and I can really recommend them so far (after two cold night rides - no rain exposure yet):
Power Shield pants (the second choice from the top on the following page: https://foxwear.net/products_pants.html ). Custom sizing, color choices, and a good design with a windproof, water resistant front. I chose the thicker material options and I am happy that I did . Very reasonable price ($77 plus shipping) and delivered in less than two weeks.
Tailor made is neat for Clydes - unfortunately I have not come across a source for regular cycling apparel.

Interesting site, but I didn't find anything regarding sizing!!!

Please explain how it works.

(I love my Novara (REI) wind pants, but at 6'3"/200 lbs with a 36" inseam the fit leaves a bit to be desired.)

Thanks.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Col'd LIzard! They'll also do custom.

Also, there's aerotechdesigns. Not custom, but a wide range of sizes......

Hello,

the best thing is to call Lou Binik, the owner and tailor there at Foxwear, and discuss your wishes and size needs (there are many options for example regarding the material; one might as well take advantage of the custom production). If you can measure an already fitting pant it is certainly a plus. I had the impression that from all the measurements I gave him he actually found my jeans size to be most informative.
Just used the pant for a morning ride which saw some frost and stayed perfectly comfortable.

I also read about the Col'Dísoard pants and decided to go with the Foxwear offering because of the wind-proof front and the many choices regarding fabrics.

Currently, I have the rain pants linked above (first choice on top) in light weight power shield, an E Vap Jacket with 200wt power stretch and heavy weight power shield, a set of 150 weight power stretch tights, a power dry long sleeve tshirt as a base layer, and a balaclava (200 wt power stretch). For the past few weeks, it's been low 20s to mid/high 30s, and I usually wear the rain pants and the jacket, with some random wicking t shirt. It would be too warm with the power dry shirt and the E Vap Jacket at these temps. In fact, I usually have the jacket unzipped a little bit. The tights are good down to about 40 or so, but then the wind starts cutting through them a bit too much. I started wearing the rain pants all the time, and really like them. Not too warm, they block the wind, and I never seem to get sweaty. Plus, if it starts raining, I'm all set. I've ridden through a couple decent rain storms with these and was quite comfortable.

The rain pants are pretty much designed for cycling, as you can see on the link he gives to Icebike. The jacket is cycling cut, with it much longer in the back. He cut the shirt the same way for me, and longer so that it doesn't ride up when hunched over. Both the tights and pants are cut long to give good coverage with bent knees and hunched over.

I figure, when it gets colder, wearing the tights under the rain pants and the power dry shirt under the jacket, I should be able to handle any of the temps we get around here.
