I wonder what will happen if I post the same question among the commuters

I have three-year-old twins. You gotta try a lot harder than that.

Here's the ride I did today. Took 3 hours. All on local bike paths.
Note the modest elevation gain, yet the graph makes it look like Mount Everest. I like!

Cool! Did that come from a GPS? I need to justify purchasing one.
Is Vasquez Rocks in there someplace? One of my old hangouts...
And, uh, to the OP... sorry for the content drift.

You've also had some crappy doctors which aren't scientists btw.

Not at all. You're the one who started with the "bad science" rap.
Science isn't everything. Not everything is provable scientifically. And anything used to buttress that point will be unscientific... and therefore irrelevant to you.
You're the one who claimed it was wrong. I'm the one who has experienced and witnessed the proof. You choose scientific explanations over decades of the author's clinical and my anecdotal evidence. Therefore nothing I type will convince you. So you remain correct.
It's not me ringing it. It was your red-green shirt analogy straw man. I understand the point you're making, but you're incorrect.
Nobody said it did. Two generations of clinical experience and evidence isn't enough for scientists. Their minds remain closed until they see double blind studies and other "proof".
You have no way of knowing that... other than the Luddites at quackwatch.
I've no idea what that means... perhaps it's a scientific term that crushes all arguments... meaning that science has triumphed again.
Guess you showed me.
Strawman.

I'd say that if you claim something is wrong, but you won't support it with evidence or proof, your assertion is worth somewhat less than the paper it's not printed on. Damfino exactly what it is you're claiming here, though; the sentences above don't make a lot of sense to me.
Couldn't agree more. So when are you gonna stop ringing that cowbell?
That's nice for you and them; that doesn't make it good science.
It's just not the case that the results they get from doing so are the result of eating foods that are "right" for their blood type.
Bosh, bosh, bosh, bosh.
Guess you showed me.

From personal experience Atkins and bicycling works just fine. What people don't understand is that the whole point of Atkins isn't meat/cheese/eggs. Even in the initial "induction" phase you are required to eat vegetables. After that you slowly add foods back in in a structured way that is designed to help you figure out exactly how many carbs you can eat to maintain your goal weight and find which foods cause you problems. When you are at or nearly at your goal you are allowed to eat just about anything with the exception of refined carbs and sugars.

This thread is still going.... SSSHHHEESSSHHHH
If the "eat for your blood type" worked for you, great. Claim that is worked for you and move on. It's been discussed and dis-proven so many times that it gets old arguing about it. Everybody and every body are going to respond differently. What worked for me doesn't always work for others. My body responded well to a low but balanced caloric intake and LSD workouts. Other's didn't and needed to use intense workouts and high intakes to lose weight. It's hard to argue with the "eat right and exercise" analogy. It's been working for so long that it makes no sence to try and find an easy fad diet for get around the fact that it's just that simple.

One very senior, well-renowned physician once laughed when i said I was allergic to something. She looked me in the eye and said "Allergies are all in a patient's head".
That's crazy. Plenty of people have no idea they're allergic until their bodies react. Sometimes deadly allergies appear later in life.

Regardless, back under your bridge.

There is a position opening up in the licensing board of the notoriously evil College of Closed Minded Physicians and Surgeons, or LBotNECoCMPaS for short. Care to come abord? The room itself is damp and smells a bit but we do have lots of Haagen-Dazs sorbet. Plus we get to piss off the science-be-damned creationists.

I'm in the process on developing a diet based upon your Zodiac sign. I'm a Pisces so sea food is what my body needs. If you're Taurus you need a lot of beef. If you're Gemini you can have anything you want but must eat 2 of whatever food item you choose. Aquarius must have lots of water... You get the point.

I personally embrace the glycemic index diets. You can eat as much carbohydrate as you want, as long as it isn't super processed crap. I can tell a big difference in the way I feel if I eat a twinky vs. beans on brown rice.

Shoulda said that then. Your other comments led me to believe you were insulting the good doctors.
Pissing them off is easy. They're even more close-minded.
My comment was in reference to the physician (thats a fancy word for DOCTOR by the way) who laughed and denied allergies.
Plus we get to piss off the science-be-damned creationists.

If Tesla and Edison had waited to provide scientists proof, we’d still be living in the dark...or maybe candle or gaslight.
Everything known about electricity is based on the Electron THEORY of Current Flow.
Nobody has ever seen an atom, let alone an electron. It’s all theory -- there is no proof that’s how works. (FWIW there are other theories, including one that purports electricity comes from the earth’s magnetic fields. But few believe them.)
Which means every time you flip a light switch or even type at your computer, you’re doing something you know works, but can’t prove. So are you wearing your red or green shirt?
They are apparently evil, close-minded, and part of a conspiracy to keep us all in the dark.
