So, yesterday I weighed myself and found that I was down 1.3 pounds. Since I was shooting for two, I ran 4 miles and went to the gym to do the upper body work I've been putting off. Hit 16 miles running last week, about 80 miles biking. Today, weighed myself. 221.1, no ****ing change. grrrrr.

So far, in three weeks, I've ridden around 430 miles (most of it fixed gear), run around 40 miles, made it to the gym 10 times, cut alcohol consumption by 80% (purely for weight loss, I love beer and this is temporary) and lost a total of a whopping .7 pounds. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Weight this morning was 266.8, which is down 1.6lbs from last week if I remember correctly.
Goal status:
-Ride 80 miles. I rode 80.3. Cutting it close but I did it!
-2 diet sodas/day max. Check!
-2 trips to the gym for weights. Only made it once.
-Eat less over the weekend than previous weekend. FAIL!

Rough week - too much work and family needs put paid to my intended results. So here is my weigh in:

209.6 +1.6 lbs I think

That is what happens when you carb load for a 200K andthen your daughter gets sick overnight making it a dumb idea to be 100 miles away from the house all day. Oh well, now if I can bet back up on the wagon I'll be good to go for the next week's goals.

So I missed my ride goals again just 1 ride w/ family. I think I'm a little burnt out on the riding at this point. I'd guess that other than rides with other people I'm mostly done riding for the year.Plus with the cold weather here now (28 degree low last night), I need to get all my weatherization projects done before it gets too cold to matter. I guess its time to switch to hour long nightly walks as my primary source of exercise.

I did get in 2 walks with family last week so that's good. Here's to a new week with less than 80 hours of work between my two gigs (full-time plus consulting gig).

Weigh in: 160 even!

Part of this, I'm sure, is due to the century I rode yesterday. Kicked butt on my goals too.

Another good week for me. Down 2 pounds to 334.4, and I'd say I did about 75% on all of my goals, except for ride time. Only got about 5 hours in, which is half what I wanted. I probably would have made the ten hours(do most of my riding on the weekends), but I had a date yesterday. My first date in longer than I care to recall.

I spent all of Saturday running errands & cleaning up. Not to mention doing dishes, stupid dishwasher had to pick the perfect time to die on me. Damn, you and your law, Murphy. Sunday morning was spent on cooking, and more cleaning. We went up to the reservoir for a picnic and short hike(much shorter than I would have liked). I loved it, but I think she's more the indoor type.

I wanted to get in at least a couple hours on the bike after she left(we came back here for a movie), but the nerves I had been suppressing all week finally hit(like a ton of freaking bricks). I ended up imbibing a wee bit too much, a wee bit too quickly. So, no ride time last night, but she wants to see me again. I think that's a decent trade off.

I ate too much last night when taken out to dinner. Even though I know I lost more weight, my official weight for today is the same as my weight last Monday, so 279.1, no change.

Oh, and while I failed miserably at my goal practicing yoga more often, I did at least mostly resolve my saddle/fit issue and was able to ride past the tingle threshold twice without issue.

Hi everyone!
My weight yesterday (Monday) was 170. I've lost 2.!!!
I am really happy with how thing are going. I did ride my bike 3 times this week and even that I had a dinner out I eat sensibly (salmon and vegs, with only 1 glass of wine). I am only drinking water during the week, not enough though.

:Jump: YOU ROCK!!!!

Drink more water...Let's see - each meeting you go to perhPs - drink a 16 oz bottle...or each tv show or each you get the idea. OK Start out with 1 bottle between when you get up and get in the shower....

WOO HOO A DATE AND SHE LIKES YOU! You are great!!! Great job on the weight loss - and stepping out of the ole comfort zone... Are you out shopping for a bike for her yet? OK - see I think we better slow down...perhaps a second date first

Sorry for the late checkin! Anyway, the increase in weight training and lack of time on the bike are killing my weight loss progress. I'm up to 246 (all muscle, I'm sure!) from 242.5. Sigh. And this week is my birthday and every day of the week has a special gathering (and therefore meal) planned. It's going to be a rough week for fat loss.

So in summary: +3.5

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCADAN...Remember all those people are out with you celebrating you - and do not care how much you eat! So pace your self BUt have fun - and rember this is not a race just a way of kife we are all embracing. I think we do differ from the real show - cause we are all really losing at a pretty medium pace.

HAVE A GREAT BIRTHDAY!!!! :HAPPY BIRTHDAY 1:

Thanks, MissB! I will enjoy this week, no doubt! Yeah, I would hope our pace is a bit slower than on the show - we still have jobs to work, families to spend time with, and nobody waiting 24/7 to watch us slip up. I think it is fine to lose fast, but it takes incredible focus.

I'm not sure if I can get her to ride. Her idea of enjoying the outdoors is "sitting on the balcony". Yeah, that's a direct quote. I'll do what I can, but some battles you just can't win
