Just for the sake of clarity, when we give our official weights for Oct 13th, they'll go in this thread, right?

My goal for this week will be to practice Yoga more often -- at least every other day.

Secondarily I'd really like to get my fit/saddle issue resolved.

Alright, the quandary I have then is why on the spreadsheet week 2 is already entered? There is no week 1, just the initial weigh-in. Doesn't it make more sense to post the weight on a thread started that same day? So, why would we be posting this week's weight on last week's thread? Particularly because as it stands now the weigh-ins you ask to be posted on the week 2 thread will go into the week 3 slot on the spreadsheet. I think these multiple threads are going to cause too much confusion in that regard.

Oh, btw, the spreadsheet link in the first post doesn't work.

Agreed with imeridian....I think week 3 weigh ins should be in this thread, since it's the week three thread That being said, I gained 1.1lbs this week because I was watching my son during the times I'd normally be riding. Plus the santa ana winds kicked in this week (for those who don't know, gusts above 70mph) so it's not real fun being outside on a bike at the moment anyways lol. Went back to my old ways on eating...always happens that way. I can't leave the house to get something healthy so I can't really regulate what I'm eating that well. Oh well...maybe next week.

Well I finished my marathon today! Technical time of 4 hours 55 minutes and 28 seconds! I have NEVER hurt so bad in my life. The last 2 miles I wanted to crawl, it was horrible. But I did it and can say I've done it and will never do it again Will post my weight tomorrow. BTW, I have school all day tomorrow but will try to update the spread sheet during breaks and boring lecture time. If not, I will update when I get home tomorrow evening.

Weight this morning: 245.8. This amount of weight loss still amazes me, since I've really done nothing different except just nibble on something when I get hungry in the middle of the day. I still have the same amount of stuff for dinner though. Strange

Previous week's goals:
1) Commute 5x a week. (Only did 3 days due to rain)
2) Do ~75 miles. (Only 51.96)
3) Have fun. CHECK
4) Eat smaller things 4-5x a day instead of a big meal 1-2x a day. CHECK

Next week's goals:
1) Commute 4-5x a week.
2) Do 50-75 miles.
3) Have fun.
4) Eat smaller things 4-5x a day instead of a big meal 1-2x a day.

Week 3

Hi All,

Here's my goals for week 3:
1) Lose @ 1 lb.
2) Do a 35 mile ride comfortably in prep for the Nov. 22 El Tour de Tucson short (35 mi.) event. My longest ride so far is 31 miles and I was pooped! I'm up to 25-26 comfortable miles at this point.
3) Do 3 exercise videos, 45-60 min. each.

I think I need to start paying closer attention to diet so I'm interested in reading about everyone's strategies. Someone posted about the 'cheesecake incident' and I understand exactly what they meant. Something like falling face-first into a bag of chips. It happens so fast, what can you do?

Can I join in?

Weigh in: 268

This week's goal: lose 3lbs, ride at least 60 kms but shooting for 100 km, swim 3 times this week, gym 3 times for some upper body work, not to be seduced in Starbucks by the apple fritters.

What I've done so far: After losing 25 lbs this winter and spring I managed to gain back 10 lbs and I'm not to pleased with myself about them. I suspect aimless eating with a strong leaning towards the ice cream food group. Since the end of September I've been eating only a vegetarian diet to whip myself into submission foodwise. So far this month I've lost 6 lbs, not bad, and I'm not tired of beans and brussel sprouts yet!

Ultimate goal: I'd like to explore what my riding is like when I'm 180 lbs next spring!
