Wed Ride...hot climbing.

8/25............Sposed to be 107 today so Hillbasher got this crazy idea that we should do GMR. We rode about 14 up to our usual landing. Maybe 3,000 ft of climbing. Got warm so we took some pics instead of hitting the village.

I dig this tunnel, a view from GRR

tunnel from a distance, little spec in the center

Mr Beanz is being way too nice. We were supposed to go all the way to the village, but I pussed out. He was right about the temperature though. It was over 100 when I got back to the house after the ride. Even with an early start, it was too much heat for this sorry assed old fart. It was still a great ride up though, with lots of time taking pics and shooting the breeze. Think I will wait till Saturday when it is supposed to be 20 degrees cooler before going back up. I have to say the heat did not seem to bother Mr Beanz as much as it did me. He must have anti-freeze instead of blood running through his veins. It was HOT, DAMN HOT.
