clyde jersey with a non-clyde horse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ouOaS87d3s

The two plans here look way nicer ;)

My noob 2 cents:

I am in completely, love the heraldry (whichever way the symbols end up), and will buy 2 and wear them with pride!

:)

chefisaac 10-07-11 07:43 AM

I agree with doug. Hell yes! :)

chefisaac 10-07-11 07:43 AM

Plus i need a new jersey. All I wear is the red one.

I agree that the shield should feature meaningful symbols, rather than just having 4 relatively weak references in there.

Any suggestions? That are meaningful, all-inclusive and non-offensive?

Unfortunately, it is unlikely I will use HTFU since it references profanity.

Scale; wheel (spokes broken or unbroken); these two are good the next two may be vampiers (can't stand the light of day!) a large cyclist and a "normal" sized one?

I understand about the HTFU. It's unfortunate, but I get it. Symbols I would like to see would be heraldic imagery that conveys what we are all about. Many are not keen on references to weight, and I can appreciate that. We are clydes - we are strong. The arm from the Armstrong crest would be a great image to blaze across the shield. That says more about the clyde spirit than broken spokes or eating utensils ever could.

Clydesdale jersey progress report.......

I have made some progress in getting the design completed. After a few more tweaks the design should be done by the end of this week. The end product will look like something along the lines of this. Sizes up to 5X (no extra charge for the bigger sizes). Dan

chefisaac 10-17-11 02:24 PM

I will have a pre-order page up on our site at the end of the week. Delivery will most likely be first part of December. We will be keeping this as a normal stock item so you can most likely just order the size you would like once they arrive, but I am only ordering a fairly small number for this 1st order so if you want to be sure and get one I will have pre-ordering available too. Pricing and final design available in a few days

Good eye! Yes, Primal Wear will be the manufacturer. We have been very happy with the quality of their items.

Do you think you will make more cylde type jerseys? How about clyde sizes in your other jerseys?

CraigB 10-17-11 06:33 PM

Good choice, Dan, going with Primal. I love their quality.

They have a bunch of 5x and 4x already, there are new ones added from time to time if you check the site often

Jersey is looking very nice, looks like it will be a Xmas present to myself!

Bike Cottage 10-17-11 08:10 PM

I think this jersey will get more notice than any (insert pro team here) jersey. Nice work!

cyclokitty 10-17-11 09:16 PM

That's a nice looking jersey and with some luck I can order one in December. Then I'll proudly wear it and hope an Athena emblazoned jersey is designed in the future.

chefisaac 10-18-11 11:48 AM

I love the fat bastard jerseys and the cranky old man flipping people off. I will be getting that one for sure! :)

chefisaac 10-18-11 11:58 AM

does love2pedal take paypal?and i think there once was a promo code for clydes. Still doing that?

love2pedal.com 10-18-11 05:49 PM

Chef,

Yes, we take PayPal.

You can type in CLYD in the promo code box you will see during checkout for a $5 discount off of the order's total. This only works at our .com store and not for our eBay items. Also, just one promo code per order.

Also....
The finished Clydesdale jersey design should be available very shortly. I will post it here as soon as I can.

Dan

love2pedal.com 10-18-11 07:34 PM

Here is the final design.

The price is $64.95 but you can use the promo code CLYD to get a $5 discount.

I should have the finished jerseys in hand in early December.

After this post, I will create a new thread with ordering information (instead of continuing to post in the Fatreari thread), for people interested in pre-ordering.
