7-7 34.73 miles
7-8 41.4 miles
Both days near record high temps. I'm in taking it easy mode now due to Seattle to Portland ride next weekend. I should still be able to reach my goal this month.

7/9 10.0 with 378 feet of climbing
Legs are sore from my long ride yesterday, but they still felt strong and a PR for the small 1.2 mile 3% "climb" at the end of my 10 mile loop.

Posting late this month. Managed 16 miles this morning before the bottom bracket seized. It's been making noise for a couple years, looks like it's shot with just 10261 miles on it. (over 5 years). So will take the primary mover to the LBS tomorrow and dust off the trail bike. Must take advantage of the low humidity while it lasts. At 107 miles for the month and no weight loss.

Took in a route I quite like today although made a couple of minor changes. One because I missed the turning (looking at the road ahead and zoned out regarding which roads went where), and another because I felt like going up and over one of the local hills. It's one that feels pretty relentless when going up it, but the payback is going down the other side.
Then I made another tweak because of the gale force headwinds, and the decision I didn't want gale force gusting side winds if I was going to be riding a busy road with a fairly narrow cycle path at the side of it. Just for good measure I got soaked once within a couple of miles of setting out, then got soaked again within a couple of miles of home, then had a gale force headwind blowing hailstones in my face.
Still, it was a good ride. Parts of it hurt where I was pushing a bit harder than normal but it was fun.
July 04 - 10 miles
July 05 - 70 miles
July 07 - 21 miles
July 11 - 36 miles
MTD - 137 miles
YTD - 2259 miles

Despite some disc brake alignment issues with my new wheel set and the old frame I've managed 160km this week so far. The forecast is for monsoon rain for the next three days so the chances of 100 miles in the weekend is slim, but I plan on doing my usual training rides anyway - rain or shine. It just means that I get to clean the bike when I get home. I may just ride 100 miles anyway. You can only get so wet.

I got in 30.8 this evening, the weather here in New England is spectacular this week, low 80's with low humidity. I'm at 120 for the month so far.
