When it rains it pours..

Not precipitation but getting flack from A holes while riding. I got two during some errands on Sunday and from those that don't have a clue. One: While riding in traffic on a busy street I get a guy on a Honda 125 old school saying through his helmet that " if I keep riding like this I am going to get killed." all snide like. "I have the lane I am running 25 so shut up!" But I just smiled real reAL REAL big and that was that.

Two: a guy that obviously lost his DL on a department store bike. He's running in and out of cars and off/on the side walk and when I catch him out in the street. I am like "on Yur Left" he's like "nice bike" all snide like... Anyway I get to a light that is a multi lane intersection and I stop because I have to keep on my track straight across the street when finally the jerk ___ came buy on the side walk yelling "All that money (for my bike) and I'm passing you" as he veers right. What eva...
OK that is all thanks for the read.

Annoying, but doesn't sound too bad.
I was expecting right hooks, parked cars opening doors into the bike lane...stuff like that.

George Costanza says to always have this retort ready: "Well, the Jerk Store called, and they're running out of you".

It suspect some Cat 6 would help you de-stress. If so, you can bring it to the Hawthorne Bridge eastbound ramp at 6 sharp. Today, I'm on the orbea flat bar and as soon as I exit the bridge span I'll veer out and split the big lanes.

MBTA drivers can be pretty dangerous here in Boston. They drive fast and muscle other road users out of position with ruthlessly stubborn intimidation merging techniques. If you don't get out of their way, they will hit you or (if you're lucky) wait until the last possible minute to SLAM on the brakes.

Often, if one respects traffic signals, the bus and biker play a very unfun type of leapfrog in the right & bike lanes.

Often when the bus is landing from its leap at a stop on the right side, the bus pulls to the curb at an angle, leaving the bike lane blocked and a bus butt in the right vehicle lane. Not a great scenario for any road user.

If you have words for them, they very often have ruder retorts. The MBTA taught me not to engage with ********... Unless i want to become the bigger one.

That's all for now. Pedestrians are another topic. As are drivers; taxis might need to be their own subject as well, good lord.

Keep on pedaling, and maybe take some comfort in the fact that your city is cycle friendly, by US standards.

You need a list. I have a list. It is a "persons whose opinions mean nothing to me" list. Persons such as you describe are normally added to that list. The more they speak the more sure I become that this is the proper list on which to categorize them.

Why should one care what the opinions of such persons are?

Though ... I probably SHOULD make it harder for people to get themselves on that list ...

The dictionary I had growing up had barfly as an index word on the top right of a page that was somehow prone to opening more easily than other pages, so I ran across it a lot.
