Pollen!!

This week in SC the pollen has been crazy high. I've never had seasonal allergies before, but it's getting me this year. Haven't been on the bike since Monday...just sneezing a lot and feel like I have a head cold. Afternoons are better, but the mornings are rough.

Hmmm, I've had two colds in the last month, and starting Wed night I felt like another one was coming on, but it doesn't seem to be fully materializing, but I continue to have scratchiness in the back of the throat and minor congestion. San Diego here, I have also never suffered from pollen allergies, just a small reaction to cats, but lookit here what google found!
Pollen counts in San Diego are now in the “medium” to “high” range, and are expected to worsen this weekend. Even those that don’t typically suffer from allergies may feel the effects.

The forecast says we have mulberry, ash, and oak this week. I'm already freebasing generic Zyrtec thanks to my wife's cats, but the oaks are gonna make me suffer. The rain was keeping it down but I don't think that will last. There's never been anything I can do to stop it, I just eat generic Sudafed (the real stuff, not the unregulated stuff) to slow it down.

It's been Very High here all week. Hopefully the worst will be over soon. I'm hosing the car off everyday. It's a pretty nasty shade of yellow every morning.

Nope. And I won't. That seems like being miserable in just a different way. Besides, I'm more or less waking up feeling this way.

It's still winter here in New York, but I am starting to suffer the usual symptoms of my springtime allergies. Perhaps it's NOT a cold, after all?

I usually take morning showers; but when there's plenty of pollen -
I shower before bed. This way I don't drag the pollen on my bed. I've
also started using wet Q tips to wash the inside of my nostrils. I know
there are special gadgets on the market to rinse in there; but haven't
tried any yet.

Wash your hands and face many times a day. Include your eyebrows and eyelashes and mouth.

Cover your pillow in the morning, and consider changing the pillowcase every day.
