I ordered a set of the rear typhoons from axiom but I doubt I'll get them before Christmas. It seems to rain here around 364 days out of the year so I'll know quick enough if they truly are waterproof. I'm glad to hear your's are doing fine.

I just recently got a rack and pannier combo yesterday. Since i haven't had a whole lot of experience with these, i can't say too much about comfort left. But! This is what i got. https://www.mec.ca/Products/product_d...=1261273629346 Its from MEC. At $42 it is their cheapest pannier but their website has many great reviews of this. I agree with them too.

You can take off the back panel which has the J-Hooks on them and reveal the backpack straps. It has one large/deep pocket and a smaller one in the front.
