I bike to work every day, but it was beautiful today. I took an extra hour and incorporated my "Three Lakes and Three Rivers" ride into my commute. I think cyclists, especially commuters, know that every city--even here in the Rust Belt-- has locales of great beauty that most residents never notice.

Our ride in Fresno was nice -- a police escort down one of the busier north/south streets. The weather also cooperated this morning, although is beginning to look a bit ominous now.

Here's some shoots from the morning's gathering:

Bikes: 2006 Raleigh Rush Hour, Campy Habanero Team Ti, Soma Double Cross

I volunteered at the local BTWW party yesterday, and entered a raffle for prizes. I ended up winning one of these:

It seems pretty nice, and will definitely get plenty of use.

Yesterday was a great day for commuting in Chicago. On the way home I went over 1,000 miles for the year. Chicago's bike to work week is in June.

Bike to Work day was well attended in Arlington, VA, despite (or maybe because of) the rain. Here is one of the two tents:

The coffee station was well attended:

The bagel station quickly ran out of cream cheese, but had a good supply of bagels:

Just for good measure, here is my bike:

It was a nice break to take on the way to work.
