Is Raleigh Strada 1 any good?

Hello,

I am looking to buy a new work bike and this seems like a good place to ask. I work as a paper boy and also ride for leisure from time to time. I have a work provided Raleigh which seems very old so I can’t find what model it is.

Yesterday I found that I could get a Raleigh strada 1 for £200 from a local seller. This is the bike I am talking about: strada-1-crossbar-frame-yellow-18085 (It doesn’t let me post a link so it should show up in Google if you type that. It is the one that is fully yellow.) It is new and supposedly has 18" frame which is just about right for me.

I am not very knowledgeable in bikes but I have had quite a few bikes back when I was younger which were from unknown Chinese/cheap brands and this Raleigh that I have been using is the best bike I have ever had so I like the reliability of Raleigh. I don’t take good care of it (leave it on the rain etc.) but nothing has ever broken and it’s been used for over 800km.

£200 is pretty much the max amount I can give for any bike. I think that Carrera are the only relatively good bikes at that price range but I feel that Raleigh is much better.

So I was wondering is this bike any good and is it worth it for the price?

Thanks.
