You obviously don't have a big enough Messenger bag.
I could practically nap in Bailey Bag.

My messenger bag keeps me cooler in the summer as it shades me from the sun. Helmet does the same. I am quite serious.

I must admit I'd hate to ride any distance with 9 2-liter bottles (18kg/40+ pounds) on my back. A change of clothes and a few papers is enough for me.
But that's pretty impressive.

I hauled a 50lb box of tax records yesterday about 2 miles, its part of the job. One of my other custoners is a court reporting agency, I haul depositions for them, which are like little 8"x11" books, sometimes a stack of them 3 feet tall. You get used to it, I work for a living, being a messenger means work plain and simple. Im like a pack mule sometimes.
Im also car free, today was grocery shopping after work, the bag does that too.

I can lock up my bike and make a delivery while carrying my load so it doesnt get ripped off by thieves, cool trailer though.

wont work, waist strap--------ive tried reg backpacking backpack once, you cant cinch the waist strap and bend over and ride very well, so all the weight is on your shoulders, its too long
