Darn it. I'm tired. Voted for a one way distance instead of round trip.

My revised vote:
36-40 depending on detours
every once in a blue moon
70

Would basic translate to minimum distance or maximum distance?

Nevermind, went for minimum - 30 miles.

My ride, round trip, comes in at 4.1 miles, so I rounded down to 4.

Bikes: Surly Cross-Check (commuter), Lemond Sarthe (sports car), Schwinn fixed gear conversion (for fun)

My one-way is 7 miles on the dot. I voted 8 as the "most correct" answer.

Crap, I voted for 12 instead of 25 because i didn't realize it was supposed to be round trip. Maybe an admin can fix it?

Or give a cycling friend who does not commute a gift of a contributing membership and have them log in for the correct round trip distance. THEN to keep the stats tidy have them start on an 8 mile roundtrip commute

You didn't specify whether that is a one-way distance or both there and back.

I think I'm off the chart though. My commute is about 1.9 miles one way, with a 200 foot climb and a 200 foot drop each way.

i rounded up, going 3.2 miles in and 3.3 miles home = 6.5 miles total. but i have been riding mountain bike last week, taking some short cuts and dirt trails, so distance is total of 6.1 miles with but time increase about 45 min (usually 15 min x 2 = 30 min). in the summer, i add big loops after work with loaded commuter to +/- 12-45 mile rides! good productive form of stess relief!

I went with just the bicycle part - and the minimum at that.

The 4 mile button is for 0 to 4 miles, and so on. Please enter your number.

I saw that after day one. I will calculate a set of mileage ranges that give a symmetric bell curve instead of this lopsided one. But only after this poll sinks off the first few pages. More people do shorter distances so the poll needs more low fields. Yet I started this poll when I saw some people asking about 60 and 70 mile commutes. I want to set the next poll so the person with the highest five days a week commute gets their out personal field. Currently the top is over 40 miles.

Another one-way only muppet. Selected 12, should have been 25. Dammit.

My round-trip is 10. Not 8, not 12, 10. I voted 8 as the "most correct" since it doesn't overstate miles.

I didn't read the instructions either and thought single leg for 10 miles, but I chose 8, because 10 wasn't an option.

Actually, I should have selected 20 miles round trip.
