Love Riding!

I can remember not long ago, riding around the block and getting winded.
I am up to 10mi 3X during the week now and 25/30 on the weekends - if I had more time I would go further. I was new to it last year and bought a MTN bike - but now with the longer rides - I am looking for a roadie.
My problem is I am 5'4" with a long torso and short legs. I looked at a few bikes (Cannondale/Giant/Fuji) but they just didn't fit right. My LBS isn't the greatest so I am thinking of getting fitted at a shop in the city. Do you think $150 is worth the fitting charge?

My old LBS charged about the same. The LBS owner spent 2 hours fitting me. That said, my fitting was free because I bought a bike.

If your in the market for a new rig I would ask the manager/owner if they would fit you for free or reduced price.

Check out Lemond bikes. From what my LBS told me, they have longer top tubes for longer torso riders. Dunno if that's true, but it's worth checking out.
