First day with Clipless Pedals

Finally sprung for clipless pedals for the MTB commuter. Made it to work and back (10 miles and several stoplights) with no falls yet...though I am sure it will happen more sooner then later.

These are the shoes I bought:

And the pedals:

I cannot believe the difference that having clipless pedals make....should of done this a long time ago.

Yep. Especially climbing out of the saddle. Even on my studded, hybrid tank, having clipless pedals and bar ends is a thing of beauty. I managed about 5 or 6 years before my first clipless-related fall a few weeks ago.

As a learning technique, I recommend -- once the ground softens up a bit where you are -- riding onto some soft grass and just falling over clipped in, preferably in front of a large crowd.

If you like it already, you're sure to become much more addicted to it.
