Where did I say it was a bike ride? I met her for dinner and a movie, I got to the restaurant early and used their restroom the clean up. I didn't let lame excuses stop me from doing what I really wanted to do. IMO your problem is that you already had your mind made up and don't want to overcome your obstacles. You've gotten lots of suggestions here, but you really didn't want them, you just wanted some shoulders to cry on and tell you it's OK. It is OK, but that don't mean I ain't gonna tell you what I think. If you want only yes-man answers, please let us know in the subject line.

I do appreciate the input I got from smart people that know how to relate to the rest of the world. Closed mindedness like yours doesn't translate online. I'm glad I gave you a place to vent your internet frustrations though! I'll be taking off in a bit and biking everywhere until next morning. I'm sorry that on Monday morning I'll jump into my car and drive to work, but that's just the way it is. Please don't take it personally, I'm not trying to hurt you.

Thank you for your input, next time I do it, I'll definitely follow along with this. Gotta find me a desk fan now. The AC is sucking in here lately.

Ha, I don't say it but most of the time I don't agree with chipcom. Infact i have his icon image blocked in Opera ... but this time I agree... it seems the OP doesn't want to overcome the obstacles... just tell a bunch of people who are interested in bike commuting on a bike commuting forum how he wont' be bike commuting.

Attention get!

I posted a bunch of suggestions for your next attempt... that wasn't good enough... it's cool though. You do what you want. No one here gives a damn if you don't bike commute. You need to go to the A&S forum for that kind of attention

"Playa Del Ray (the beach)"

Beach shower before the last little bit of commute. Then baby wipes to finish up before putting work clothes on.

+1

Quite a few gyms will give really good deals to people who just want to use the shower facilities. I'd check for this option.

If only the interwebs worked for scratch and sniff so we could prove it.

Yeah what time do those showers turn on? If you know drop me a hint, I tried on my way down (just to spray the head and bring the body temp down) and they weren't working.

I will definitely look into this option, there's a gym a half a mile up the block (it'd be a downhill ride to work).

Thanks for the suggestions, I should be back up and commuting in no time.
