Same pair worn at least 3 days in the same week, no problem.
I wear the same shirt for the same unless I can't stand the smell.
My doo-rag (shaved head) I wear until I remember to wash it. No idea how long.
I take a shower after each trip so I don't see what the difference is.
23 mile round trip, btw.... in Houston, TX.

I wear normal cotton shorts and a T-Shirt. I wear a new T-Shirt everyday but usually will use the same pair of shorts for a whole 5 day week.

I ride to work in a clean pair after showering. I let them dry, put them on for the ride home, then throw them in the hamper.
If they're clean before you put them on and you've showered, it's really not that skanky.

If you wear clean underwear (wicking polyester, of course) under your shorts, then your shorts will stay cleaner, longer.

My single pair of lycra tights gets washed once a week, same as my single cycling jersey. I wash/wetwipe when I get to work and change into clean work clothes. There's no way I'm spending tons of cash on cycle gear so I can wear clean stuff every day, or washing it every night.
Anyway, cycling home in the rain counts as washing it, right?

I use the same rules as with underwear: change once a day at least. More frequently if they get smelly or dirty during the day. Be considerate of your fellow workers, friends, etc. and don't be that stinky guy/gal in the cube. You will know you are because no one comes to visit. My wife once told me, 'You may not be able to smell yourself but I can smell you'.

There's a reason I have seven matching team kits. Reading through these posts makes me want to hurl. It's bad enough I have to hang up my clothes to air-dry in the locker room during the day. If you dry your nasty, smelly shorts on your warm computer monitor, what else do you do in your cube? Floss, pick your nose? Pee in a coffee cup? OMG I'm going to wretch!

Not washing your shorts for a week at a time would be one way of making that a reality.

I only wash mine if I have an accident from eating too many refried beans washed down with prune juice.
Spraying them with Lysol every couple days takes care of the smelly bacteria in the meantime.

I wear a pair of shorts anywhere from 1 to 3 days depending on how much I sweat, longer if I'm cool and dry. I definitely wouldn't wear a pair in and one out, that's just as bad as using a towel for my hair and one for my body. I'd feel pretty fragile if I could only ride in a fresh pair of shorts.
