urban upgrade

im riding the marin muir. urban bike.
i was thinking what i need to upgrade for riding distance.
bigger wheel? would they fit?
skinnier tires?
lighter parts? wheres a good place to save weight?
also wheres a good place to buy cheap accessories, like a 5 dollar mirror or a 5 dollar blinker, or a 20 dollar foot pump?

Bikes: Nishiki Nut! International, Pro, Olympic 12, Sport mixte, and others too numerous to mention.

Nashbar, Performance, BikesDirect, are all good for deals on bike stuff. Just click on some of the ads that interest you.

Slick tyres will be a good upgrade for riding long distances on roads...and will save you some weight as well.

Welcome to BF!
