How far is your commute?

I'm just curious to know how far you travel to get to work everyday?

I, fortunately, have a short commute, only 4.5 miles. Takes somewhere around 20 minutes, give or take, depending on the conditions. It's pretty alright.

Might want to try a search. There's only 100 or so of these threads there.

2-1/2 miles to, ~6 miles from (I take the scenic route home). Riding in takes the same amount of time as taking the Metro (~20 minutes). A good 5 minutes of that is dealing with Dupont Circle.

Tried that, didn't find any threads about how far everyone's commute was. I just found that it's a question in the Tires thread..but, oh well. I suppose I should've said round trip as well.

30 miles one way. I usually drive with my wife into work - as we work in the same office - then I'll ride home while she heads off to the gym. Or sometimes I'll ride into work then throw the bike on the rack for the ride home. One of these days, when I've got nothing else to do, I'm gonna do the round trip.

Either 30 feet to the basement or a 1000 yards to the bus stop.

Mine is similar. Depending on how I feel. My office is 2.5 miles away or I can just work from home which is about 20 feet. I ride home for lunch as well. So 10 miles per day. My old commute was 32 miles round trip.

Takes about half an hour each way with a heavy bag

Yep. 20 minute ride to a world away...

5 miles one-way in, anywhere from 5-10 or more home now that it's getting nice out.

Right now it's a measly two miles one way. Then again, you can't beat 11min by bike, 25min by car.

You know... if you go and post in each and every one of those we will find you, shackle you, and turn you over to the folks in A&S.
