I'm all for cycling advocacy, but this is kind of hilarious! Then again, everyone knows us young people will respond to anything if its rapped...

I once had to help a woman put her bike on the rack of a Houston Metro bus. It was easier to just go help her then watch her struggle with it. The bus driver did nothing. Took me 20 seconds to lift her bike and secure it and we were on our way. Luckily we both got of at the same stop so I helped her again.

This is a little off-topic but it reminds me of an ad campaign they did for the T, in Fort Worth, a few years back.
They had TV & print ads saying "Bus-A-Move." I thought it was a rather clever play on words, but I think they got too many complaints about it being too racial or some such. Anyway, they yanked the ads after a few months.

For a second I thought this was a post from a self-important person who bases that self-importance on the need to respond to others' posts with ad hominen attacks. Oh wait. I was right. Geez.

I wonder if a cyclist could hang her sweaty clothes on the rack for the duration of the bus ride? The other passengers would probably be pleased to have those sweaty unmentionables outside the bus too!

Besides, are you not one of the folks who hate cycle specific clothes and commutes to work in your work clothes. I bet your co-workers really love your smell.

Bikes: Pacific hardtail (frame only right now); Weyless SP (frame/fork right now); Jamis Dakar XLT 1.0 custom build-up (fully functional)
Until you have gone into a small base PX on a remote-site Army base in Germany on a Friday -- staffed by German locals who, in old-school fashion, bathe on Saturdays only -- you have no room to speak of SMELL!!! The base commander could neve figure out why PX business was off on Fridays.
