I'm mostly running Chastain from Canton hwy to KSU. Try to take a lap somewhere every weekend.
I'm on a converted black Cannondale MTB made commuter.
Dark in the morning now so tomorrow I think I will ride over to Performance in Roswell and get a vest and some more lighting as my weekend ride.

Fail.
It ain't the same thing. Cardio and resistance training are both important for fitness. On a bike, you get almost no resistance training. You don't have to do both if you don't want to, but there are lots of people who do and lots of reasons to do so. Of course, a gym isn't the only way to do resistance training, and many of the other options can be done at home, outdoors, or combined with other activities. But I don't think there is one holy way, and I don't think the gym is lame or a sucker's bet.
Sure, people drive their SUVs to the gym and back. Explain precisely why you care.
I don't understand how people take something simple like riding their bikes to work and inflate it to the point where anything anybody else does - for transportation, enjoyment or exerise - is silly, pointless and inferior.
