See that big stick that's perpendicular with the seat? You either push that left or right and the whole box moves along with the two wheels.

My green townie is called "Kermit".
My touring bike is called "Tipsy" because it falls over a lot.
My rain bike is called "Grimis" because it's purple and has fat tubes.
My chopper is called "Dewey" (spelled D-U-I) because that was the design inspiration and purpose.
I have 4 other bikes without names that are simply referred to by their make/model name or style.

Bikes: Schwinn Criss Cross (hybrid beater), Nashbar AT-2 disc MTB
My mid-90's Mongoose hybrid beater is Sophia III after the main battle tank in the classic videogame, Blaster Master:

My 1992 Schwinn Criss Cross commuter is only a few days old to me, and is yet unnamed.

Bikes: 2008 Windsor Cyclo, and some spares.

Anyway, I've had this idea that I'd like to build my own bikes from the frame up and give them fake manufacturer names, like "Customarek CX1" or some nonsense like that.

My normal commuter is named Andre. Since it is a Giant, i figure this way he can be "Andre the Giant."
My winter/beater commuter is named sushi. It's a Fuji, and since fuji is such a Japanese name, I thought it needed to be named something very Japanese. "Sushi" got the nod.

My Trek Pilot that I use for commuting is called "Transformer" because I used to have to put on and take off all of my commuting gear on a regular basis since for a long time, it was my 'only' bike.
My new Orbea Onix (mine for all of 2 days) is not yet named. Something will strike me eventually.

My Surly Steamroller is named "Stanley" ,After the Stanley Steamer carpet cleaning company. I can still hear the jingle in my head:
"Stanley Steeeemer!!!
Tough on dirt, gentle on carpets!!"
My 80's Ross 290s is simply "The Ross"

My daughter named her bike T-REX.
It's a Trek 800 and she wants me to alter the lettering on the downtube, (add a hyphen and make the "K" into an "X"). One of these weekends, I'll have to see if I can pull it off.

Bikes: 1975 Paris Sport 700, 2007 Dahon Mu P8 (folding bicycle), 1984 Miyata 210, 2024 Tenways CGO600 Pro e-bike
My Dahon Mu P8 folding bicycle is the first one I have ever given a name. Since Mu sounds close to mule, I call it Pepe. That's from a line in the movie Romancing the Stone: "They told you I had a car? They're such comedians. They meant my little MUle, Pepe."

I knew VW had "The Thing", didn't know they had a "Thing 2". No connection in any event.

Bikes: One brand-less build-up, and a Connondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra Disc. A nicer bike than I need, but it was a good deal, so... ;-)
My commuter is called UAV (Urban Assault Vehicle) but is sometimes called TTIT, for "Tougher Than I Thought".
