Rode to the polls this morning. Of a few hundred people there at 7am, let's just say that zero others were in a bright yellow jacket.

Same here. I was there at near the front of the line in all my riding gear, voted, and was cruising to work by 7:15 AM. Rode past all those other poor folks still waiting in line.

I could have walked because the polling place is about 2 minutes away, but I had a dentist appointment to get to right afterwards. Turns out the line inside was slower than I thought, so after waiting an hour, I had to leave for the appointment. Biked over there, had a tooth pulled, and then biked back to wait in line for another two hours. Spoke cards for my candidate - parked right outside the door! Did have one person ask if I was a crossing guard, though (bright lime vest....).

I rode to the polls and voted this morning. My polling place is right down the street from where I live. Only a 5 min. walk. But as I was on the way to work, I stopped voted, then rode on to work.

My wife drove and was 2 ppl in front of me in line. Took me 45 min to get through the line.

I rode... it's about a mile or so from the house. Light drizzle falling when I left for the polls... rain when I finished voting. Wife went with me on her bike.

Of course, even though we vote at the local elementary school, there are no bike racks. We locked up to a drain pipe.

Same here. Locked up to a signpost right outside the church. With so many people around, I wasn't worried about my Brooks getting stolen, so I left it uncovered, basically letting everyone pine over my beautiful bike.

Rode to the polls, then the grocery store. Well, two grocery stores, the first one didn't have egg roll wrappers.

I rode the entire 1.5 miles right down the street to the rec center. The road was full of cars, although I was the only one on a bike. The speed limit is 25mph, so I rode right along with traffic. There isn't a bike rack anywhere, but there are some batting cages. I just locked up my bike to one of the polls, went inside, and voted. The line wasn't too terribly long. I was pretty much in and out. Luckily for me, I did get to read a couple of pages of Lord of the Flies.

I leaned the bike against a tree. The thought of it not being there when I returned never crossed my mind. I'm not sure if that makes me careless or just lucky to be in a low crime area.

For the primaries I rode to the polls on the way to work, but it's just three blocks from home (in the other direction and all up hill). This morning I walked there with my wife, stood in line for an hour, voted, walked home, and then rode the long way to work. I was in by biking togs and one poll worker commented it was a nice day to ride. My answer, "Thanks, but for me every day is a nice day to ride!"

Last year it was cold and rainy, so I rode the Portland. Today was beautiful, sunny, wind-free and 70. So I rode Yellow Bike (my 9-year-old Trek 1000) to work. We stopped to vote on the way home.

Another lycra story: The three election ladies all said they liked my hi-viz commuting jersey, but their eyes kept drifting lower...

I am going to ride there after work. It's only about 1 mile or so to the school from home. And all I have to do is drop of my ballot as we are a "mail-in" state.

I've ridden to the polls for years. This time in the dark and rain. I felt a little bad though, as my bike was locked up outside for the hour and a half it took to cast my vote.

Stopped by to vote on the way home from work. The line of cars trying to get into the polling place and find a parking place was out into the street and around the corner. I rode right up to the door on my bike and locked it to a steel banister along the stairs. Walked right in. Was nice not to have to wait for parking.

My little guy had tonsil surgery today so after we got home grandma stayed just long enough for us to walk up and vote. It's only a few hundred feet from home.

I did notice that the number they were up to was where I usually see it at 7:00 PM when I would normally vote instead of 11:30 in the morning, hence a great turn out!

I biked to my polling place this morning on my way to work. Glad I did it then, because it's raining steadily now... I was the only bicyclist there.

I rode and locked my bike to the railing right in front of the door, so everyone saw it. A few even asked me about the bike.

Bikes: 1940s Fothergill, 1959 Allegro Special, 1963? Claud Butler Olympic Sprint, Lambert 'Clubman', 1974 Fuji "the Ace", 1976 Holdsworth 650b conversion rando bike, 1983 Trek 720 tourer, 1984 Counterpoint Opus II, 1993 Basso Gap, 2010 Downtube 8h, and...

I biked to the polling place, same as last year, and the year before, and....

I took the bike into the fire house, too, as usual.

Lines looked long, but moved fast. I was out by 6:15 AM, so I rode town to Bristol PA to volunteer for the Obama campaign GOTV project. It was a blast. I went door to door for about four hours, then rode home. Total miles for the day, about 39.
