I've been riding the X for a couple of weeks now, and I've since added a new fork, trekking bars, and disc brakes. I can't wait to add a child seat to it and take my kid around!

I don't have a big white garage door to put my bike against for the pic, but I do have a small white front door.
This is my current commuter, a fairly old Specialized Rockhopper that I bought off my dad several years ago. Completely stripped it down a few years back and built it back up with a few new parts. Unfortunately, I didn't have access to the Internet at that time, and my lack of bike knowledge has left me with an interesting mix of components. For example XTR rear derailleur and Alivio front derailleur. You can definitely tell the difference in quality!
Accessories:
* 2 x Lumicycle halogen headlights with bottle battery (highly recommended)
* Cateye front blinkie and LD-1100 rear light
* Topeak wedge pack
* Carradice Bike Bureau
(Soon to be replaced by a Dawes Super Galaxy 2008 for touring and commuting.)

No problems at all. The rack is a flimsy old thing I got from Argos several years ago and it's set at its maximum distance from the seat post. The Carradice (which I bought a few weeks ago) has a good angle on it and I have no problems with clearance. I have size 9 feet (UK size). The Carradice is good but the screws inside scratched my laptop so I've covered them up with sponge. Luckily it's only a work laptop.

Still working on getting a shot of my commuter. Was looking at it today and realized the frame is pretty compact for a 21" rincon 2007 Model. I keep seeing all these great bikes it makes me look at my bike differently. Be nice to see more commuters in Salinas, perhaps there are I just have not found them yet.
There has been only two I can think of, one I met climbing old san juan grade road towards San Juan Bautista the other was travelling Main-Davis ... There have been others but not many that come to mind. Keep the great pics coming it opens my eyes to the possibilties.

Quality is nice, zippers are solid and it seems like it would be pretty water resistant. The mounting is a little awkward since you have to un-bungie both sides to get the thing off, although I haven't compared this to other bags.
It does a fairly good job of keeping my suit wrinkle free, but there seems to be a lot of wasted space. The small side/top pockets barely fit extraneous things like spare tubes, tools, towel, etc... And you can't really stick these items in with the suit. I'm thinking a big pannier may work better, with the clothes folded/rolled neatly on top.

breakfast on the beach
It was a nice day today, i couldn't pass up the chance to take my new bike for a nice ride. This is my new daily bike, a 2008 Kona Paddy Wagon. All stock right now, except for pedals, and I swapped out the stock saddle with the Kona comfort saddle from my mtb, until I can get a new one.
The roads around here are pretty rough and full of dirt and grit right now. The paddy wagon dealt with it all appropriately. I'm still a little graceless riding fixed, mostly right now getting used to toe clips, but i'm getting the hang of it.

Its a Top Peak Road Morph. I got it after reading posts here and over at the LHT google group. I especially like the ability to handle either presta or schrader valves. I am hoping to do a 30 mile drive out to the beach in a week or two and that little feature may come in handy since none of my buddies have tricked out there bikes as commuters.
