here is my commuter. its a '81 trek 710. I painted it flat black, sorry if there are any purists out there. the pannier is a DIY army bag pannier, which has worked remarkably well. Let me know what you think

Actually it will be that abomination soon. Im going to get the 44mm nashbar or winwood fork with either disc or canti depending on the weight. That should bring my CC almost under 19lbs after i do a stem/bar swap and touching 17 with a wheel swap and final trimmings. Also being short in the case of beening a WW is nice as I get really light frames

Sure,

Here are some pics. As you can see, i basically just put in a budgie cord on the bag. Luckily i found a bag that had a loop on the bottom that that i can thread the budgie cord through. i then made two holes on the top part of the bag and put the hooks through. Im sure you can figure out how i attach it to the bike from there.

I´m swedish but I have never seen a SAAB bike in any form! But, since SAAB car division is close to bankrupcy this might be their new and planet friendly substitute product! It seems properly done...

Bikes: Cult and Schwinn Super Le Tour 12.2

Here is my Schwinn Le Tour 12.2 that I've added some new gear to.

I've upgraded or changed the wheelset, changed to serfas seat, fenders, rear rack, bar tape, DIY iphone mount, odyssey PC pedals, Conti GatorSkins and new chain. Thing rides so awesome, just took it for a 25 mile ride the other day with some friends it gave me no issues, I love it.

I'll post both of my commuters. Use the Jamis Aurora Elite as primary commuter with the Raleigh One Way on foul weather duty or when I want a nice upright ride to work.

You make me want an Aurora Elite even more now. I really, really, really want a decent dropbar light tourer/commuter, and the racks, discs, and STI shifters on the Jamis are real selling points for me.

I love the Jamis Cubs.. looked at it as a top choice.. I went with a Marinoni instead.. locally made was the deceiding factor. Nice bike you have though.

Bikes: The always reliable kuwie

Finally got around to finishing up my 3 speed commuter, the seat is temp it's comfy but too soft for my preference. Not sure what year it is but most of it is a late 70's JC pennies. I'm gonna try her out probably tomorrow morning.

Yeah, my girlfriend got one too and we're both really happy so far. The 2011 model solved my only complaint about mine (a 2010), which is that on the earlier models they have the rear disc caliper mounted in a stupid spot so that you're really limited on aftermarket racks and you have to get creative w/ mountain other than stock fenders (the stock fenders are worthless). Other than that it's pretty much close to perfect for me, right now.

Thanks! yeah i'm happy w/ it. The cranks on the stock photos of my bike are silver (which I think would have been nicer looking), but overall really like that it has a bit of a "classic" look about it.

Old 1988 ish Giant something or other mtn bike. I've since replaced the wheels with some nicer 9 speed units and slick tires (Bontrager Eco or something). This was when Giant first came onto the US scene with their own name branded bikes. It was originally grey with purple accents and sports a triple butted frame. Came with Mountain LX components but they have been mostly upgraded with a mishmash of parts scrounged off other thrift store bikes. I like it.

yep. the old raleigh worked ok as a back-up/winter commuter, but seeing as how i had to replace it after the bus accident, i figured i might as well get what i really wanted for winter duty, which was disc brakes and an IGH.

I like it, I even like the bright orange color, I also like how the fork crown goes right into the headset makes it look clean.

Thanks! I did get it from Nashbar. I was able to apply a promotion that brought the price to about $250. There were a few minor hiccups but it was definitely worth getting. I like it.

Bikes: Moser

I'm a daily commuter in Barcelona (Spain) and I have a 2nd hand Francesco Moser 14 speed racing bike. I installed a smaller steering wheel for navigating between cars and busses. It's a very nice and fast bike
