post apocalypse bike, i like it But man, that is super inspiring, especially with the report of those tires. OK, now I'll build myself a fat-bike of sorts. Not a 3"+ tire bike, but something that can take the Big Apples. I also like how you have a large seat bag and a frame bag and no racks. Also, I notice the lack of fenders. I hear Spokane has a very dry climate. |

And before I read these replies, I thought, "Urban assault vehicle!" And it looks very well used yet still in excellent running condition.

David, that C'dale is looking sweet.
Was nice to get out today on the Shasta and appreciate the new wheelset and upgrade to the drivetrain... just had some short errands to run as I needed some small tools and understand we are looking at more snow dammit. |

I like how the black fenders blend in with the tires in a stealthy way.. |

If so, what size tires are you running? Do you have any close ups of the clearance around the top of the tire where the fork and fenders meet? Any pics without the fenders? |

New commuter. It feels like I'm going so much faster than on my Giant Roam, but I'm really only saving 1 minute. Money well spent!

Any opportunity to post a pic of my new ride. IRO Group buy frame (from 2007?), Sugino 75 cranks, Sugino Grand Mighty chain ring, Campy Record headset, Miche Supertype seatpost, Brooks B17, Deep V's, PDW rack, Crud Road Racer mk 2 fenders, leftover mtb bars, lever, and stem, and generic Shimano brake.

Added a couple new things to my commuter --
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-1...420_173045.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-u...420_173251.jpg Zip-tied water bottle cage (no bosses on frame; works fine so far, even on rooty singletrack and other generally bumpy crap); frame-fit zefal classic pump; new rear light (light&motion vis 180 micro); also, a cheap but kinda cool colored light rope. |
