I like how the black fenders blend in with the tires in a stealthy way.. |

If so, what size tires are you running? Do you have any close ups of the clearance around the top of the tire where the fork and fenders meet? Any pics without the fenders? |

That fork is that same as this one correct?

New commuter. It feels like I'm going so much faster than on my Giant Roam, but I'm really only saving 1 minute. Money well spent!

Any opportunity to post a pic of my new ride. IRO Group buy frame (from 2007?), Sugino 75 cranks, Sugino Grand Mighty chain ring, Campy Record headset, Miche Supertype seatpost, Brooks B17, Deep V's, PDW rack, Crud Road Racer mk 2 fenders, leftover mtb bars, lever, and stem, and generic Shimano brake.

Added a couple new things to my commuter --
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-1...420_173045.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-u...420_173251.jpg Zip-tied water bottle cage (no bosses on frame; works fine so far, even on rooty singletrack and other generally bumpy crap); frame-fit zefal classic pump; new rear light (light&motion vis 180 micro); also, a cheap but kinda cool colored light rope. |

Yeah, that's actually a bit lower than my fixed gearing of 46x16 (which works out to ~76 g" after factoring in the beefy 700x40c tires and 165mm cranks). It's great for keeping up decent speed on the downhills without spinning out, and I can climb up most moderately steep SF hills with only a little bit of tacking and the occasional yelp of pain :P

Here's my #2 out on a ride/walk with the kids to the local 7-11...

Chainguard
I finally got around to adding the Civia Byrant Chainguard on here! It barely fit...
I still need to add a 'bash guard' for complete protection! http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps64c7aa73.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...psb01afd64.jpg |

Thanks! With 175 crank arms, 32c tires + fenders, there is a tiny bit of toe overlap. I have the black fork because I bought the Nashbar touring fork for 17 dollars over the matching 90 dollar fork and repainted it. The hope is to get a carbon Cross fork some day and also 170 or 172.5 crank arms if I run across some used.

megalowmatt, what's the bag brand you have on the handlebar? Looks great with your nice Bianchi!

I'm a fan of the solid color frame and black fork so it looks good to me. I have toe overlap with 32mm tires and fenders on my CX bike (172.5 crank arms). It bothered me enough to take the fenders off, but I might try them again with a lower profile 28mm tires just for grins. Here's mine minus the fenders.
