Are there no provisions for attaching a rear rack to the seat stays near the rear brake on that BMC frame?

It has no seatstay rack bosses. The most it will ever carry is that Carradice saddlebag, and for that I use a saddle-mounted (Bagman) support.

I know I was just asking about it if I were to consider that frame for a commuter bike. But I'd probably have to pass if there are no rack mounting provisions.

well yeah I know but I wouldn't want to booger up a nice frame like that with fugly p-clamps. :p

Personally, I wouldn't want a rack/panniers on it. For a dedicated commuter, I'd opt for something from SOMA, Surly, etc. The BMC rides beautifully unloaded.

I agree, but Tubus Stay Mounting Clamps (link) + Carradice = win.
