What's wrong with British drive train? Or did you mean the actual train?
I like British bikes. I currently ride a Hi-Ten FGSS, so it must be at least 10 kg. |

Nice bike!:thumb:
That crankset looks like a 6600 crankset, though, I which think is a better looking crank than either the 6700 or the new 6800. I've got one sitting on my shelf waiting, no, longing, for the right frame to come along. I agree about the 6600 crankset though. I've got a full almost NOS gruppo of 6603 (ice grey) that I'm waiting to put on my vintage Trek. Waiting for a deal on an A23 wheel set for that bike as well :) As Jack Johnson says, always sitting, waiting, wishing. |
Not a new bike that hasn't been here before, but a new photo.

Wow -- luminous picture!

I ride my Muirwoods to work on most days. When it`s rainy I ride an old minivelo with a basket and fenders.

One more. This is the bike I purchased for $550 back in 1980-something from a store on Bloor St. From Joe Gardin himself, left to die in a couple of garages for 28 years, and recently resurrected. Original handlebar, and seat post. Everything else has been replaced.
Still rides like a rocket! It begs to be ridden hard. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=522604http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=522605 |

Hand made fender extension :D |
Made a couple small changes on my commuter. I swapped out those huge cruiser tires for my semi-slick tires and also went from a 48 tooth to a 44 tooth BMX crank which happens to be blue.............

Hand made fender extension :D I'm considering adding fender extensions to mine as well. I'm undecided as to material though.... was thinking to make them out of leather (which would be easy to do) and water-proofing the heck out of 'em. Otherwise, i'd have to source another material which would be a bit more of a challenge.... Maybe something like car/truck inner-tube material would work....? |

Genesis GS29
It works for me. I use an Ibera rack and trunk bag, tool kit, homemade lock holster, some free market fenders, etc
|
when making a front fender extender, any recommendation for a way to attach to the fender? I would like to add and remove if possible!

And yes, i saw attachment by adhesive tape. Can work, but you should understand how long and how well. |

This season I've been commuting on my 1966 Sports, 4.5 miles each way in Manhattan, while wearing business formal (until after Memorial Day). I have a set of Linus canvas rollup bags on a black Pletscher clone, shown here in Central Park coming home from a grocery run.

Don't you have problems with such cranks to shaft connection? |

Sorry, I am asking about this. It is reliable enough? |

Sorry, I am asking about this. It is reliable enough? Yes. I serviced the bottom bracket this winter. Everything was in fine condition following it's first 50 years, and I expect it to outlive me! The chain is new as well. These old Raleighs were built to run for decades with minimal maintenance. |

My recent pick up a 100 dollar special from craigslist, a 1990 Trek 970 Singletrack.
