Have a good weekend fellas!
Great looking bike-but the rack tilting backwards is killing me.

It is only made worse by the saddle tilted nose down.

How's it for you?
Maybe try securing it this way:

lol yeah i replaced mine with a crap low-end Shimano but way better than the worn & abused Specialized Crank that was on it. I've spent too much on bike according to the missus lol

What size of chainrings do you use? I'm thinking about going up to 48/38/26 as the 44T just quite isn't enough now.

The chainrings are the same ratios that it had on it when I got it, I think they're 28, 38, 48. I want to increase the big ring if I ever do this again.

Cool bag. What is it? If you load it up too much, does it rub on your tire?

Thanks.

It's actually a DIY, formerly a camera bag, bag.

It doesn't rub on tire (anymore).

I had to experiment and modify the bag as I tried it out to get it just right.

Nice work. I see you are a new user, if you have photos showing how you converted the camera bag for bike use, and your gradual modifications, you should write up a little photo essay in a separate post.

Thanks. I'll make a post when I get a chance to.

It's basically a boat cleat attached to a dowel inside the bag...and a lot of stitching.

Surly Crosscheck single speed. Works well for a "grocery" getter with the milk crate removed.

Yup, steel frame/forks it is. Been an ongoing project the last couple of years and now almost at the end.

Do you have any pics of what you have? My current set-up is pictured below.
